The game lets you make use of every weapon type effectively, your last point isn't a negative against the two weapon system in the slightest.Ed. Using a weapon is never a waste as explosives or heavy weapons of some kind are almost always available via tears or in barrels or dropped. It makes the game more challenging in that aspect. Learn how to make use of your vigors more effectively if you're carrying powered down weapons. Upgrade other guns aside from your two favourite.Ģ. This also forced you to do a couple of things that adds variety:ġ. If you have to drop a favoured upgraded weapon, you will find it again soon enough for it not to be a worry. You're not putting money in something you throw away for very long at all. I never felt attached to any gun, thus never upgraded. There's no reason at all to upgrade anything (I played on 1999 mode right off the bat, and had no reason to spend any cash at all) since the weapon they want you to use in the encounter is always there anyway. Why put the money in something you're going to throw down anyway? It makes a mechanic in the game undervalued. Especially since you can upgrade weapons. The other point, never switching weapons, just means the game wasn't designed very well, or the other weapons have no value. In fact, I can choose the weapon I deem relevent, not what the game chooses for me. If I can carry each weapon, I always have the relevent weapon. The 2 weapon limit just encourages me to waste them, since there will always be ammo right next to them for the next pickup, and I'm wasting a slot for something I only can hold so many bullets for. If I can carry everything, I'm less likly to spam the rpg or hand cannon, as I rather save them for an encounter I will need it for. I never felt attached to any gun, thus never upgraded.īesides, both of your points are more effective with mutiple weapons anyway.
